After Christmas we headed up north to visit family. It was so much fun. There were a bunch of things planned and the kids had a great time with their cousins. We spent one day up in D.C. We went to the National Botanical Gardens. It was amazing. They had one room that was a huge train display. They made it into an enchanted forest. There were tons of fairies and fairy homes made out of plant material. The girls absolutely loved it.
I could have spent the whole day here if the kids weren't pulling me on to the next thing!Next stop was the natural history museum. The girls were interested in learning about everything they saw. It was so much fun.
After a while Jane started to get really tired and it was time to head home. The girls were quiet as we walked back to the car in awe of the Washington Monument lit up in front of us. We plan on making more of an effort to get into D.C. whenever we go up to Virginia!
While were were there the cousins that we were staying with got a new puppy. Everyone was in love!
New Years Eve we spent with most of the family in Virginia. There was good food and a nice relaxing atmosphere. We all had fun playing on the Wii. And the girls learned some new games.
