Grammie and Grampa's Visit

Grammie and Grampa came into town last weekend. Even though they were feeling under the weather we had a great time. Ella and Kate loved having their Grandparents here to play with. On Friday night we went to Chuck-e-Cheese (sp?) I'll have to admit I wasn't that excited about the idea. I vaguely remember going when I was little and everyone getting sick on the pizza. I don't even really know if that happened but that is what I remember. Anyways, we went... and it was so much fun. The girls loved it. It was clean. There was stuff that both of them enjoyed doing. Not to mention Grampa and Scott and Grammie...Ask Grammie how she and Ty burned through $25 of quarters.

On Saturday we went to a local greenway. We pet a corn snake at the nature center and then went for a short hike. Then we took Grammie to the lake front. It was a lot of fun.
During naps the big girls, Grammie, Mommy, and Ella went shopping at Target and then came home and had a dance party.
After naps we went to the National Whitewater Center. It is the olympic training center for kayaking. It was a lot of fun. You can climb rock walls here, go kayaking down the rapids, go rafting, do a zip line, high ropes course, or mountain biking. We chose to watch Ella climb the kids "rock walls".And walk around.
Saturday night was out grown ups night out to dinner and then a night of poker.

Sunday was a nice relaxing day to spend time together and before we knew it it was time for Grammie and Grampa to leave.

Ella went on for hours about how Grammie and Grampa were on an airplane and she wanted to go too. Kate was fussying that afternoon and I was carrying her around. She saw the picture of Grammie and Grampa though and stopped crying and starting smiling. Corny but true. Ella asked today if Grammie and Grampa were going to come back on the airplane today.
We had a great time and miss you both already.
